LWB wins Innovationspreis 2021

We are the proud winner of the XXIV. Thuringian Innovation Award in the category "Industry and Material", which was awarded on Nov. 24, 2021 in Weimar.

Our project „Shiny pigments leading the way" was able to convince the jury with the "interplay of physical products and information", as Prof. Dr. Dr. Jivka Ovtcharova explained at the award ceremony. She describes the tracking and identification of genuine organic cotton, a market with currently much more supply than production, by means of incorporated security pigments as a real novelty.

Due to the tense pandemic situation, the award was presented in front of a very small audience. Dr. Dominik Uhlich was on site for the Leuchtstoffwerk Breitungen, Dr. Wolfgang Eisenberg joined in via video chat.
